Documentary Film Project

This ongoing project began more than twenty years ago with the goal of producing a full-length documentary film on the composer's life. A five minute pilot film has been produced by Robert Levy and includes interview clips from Tony Bennett, Gunther Schuller, Studs Terkel, Marian McPartland, and Mitch Miller.
