For more than ten years, Robert Levy's guest appearances as soloist, clinician, or lecturer were partly sponsored by the Getzen Company, as he performed and recorded on Getzen trumpets. Numerous appearances included workshops at the Juilliard School of Music (for the American Brass Quintet Symposium), Tanglewood (Empire Brass Symposium), Monumental Brass Quintet Workshop (Washington D.C.), in Green Bay (with the Canadian Brass), Manhattan School of Music, Indiana Univ., Univ. of Iowa, and numerous high schools and colleges from coast to coast. His appearances in almost all fifty states have repeatedly received enthusiastic responses.
He has also performed in Canada, Portugal, China, Australia, Jamaica, and Haiti; at Harvard University, Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University, twice as a soloist for the International Trumpet Guild's annual conference, the New York Brass Conference, and in 1991 was guest artist-in-residence at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts. He has also performed with the National Symphony Orchestra (Washington, D.C.), Green Bay Symphony, as a soloist with the Fox Valley Symphony, with the Watts Electric New Music Ensemble, Center for New Music (Iowa), and throughout the country with the Wilder Duo (with marimbist Gordon Stout). A tireless worker, his engaging manner, creative approach, and teaching commitment have influenced students of all ages.
He has been a frequent faculty member or guest artist at numerous summer programs including the International Music Camp (Interlochen), Empire Brass Symposium (Tanglewood), Ecole Sainte Trinite Music Camp (Haiti), Red Lodge Music Festival (Montana), Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp (Michigan), Encore/Coda Music Camp (Maine), Tidewater Music Festival (Maryland), Birchcreek Academy (Wisconsin), Univ. of Iowa, Univ. of Wisconsin, and many others.
